Peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital with his family by his side on Monday, August 20, 2018 at the age of 78. Beloved husband of Marie Long and the late Barbara Long. Loving father of Peggy Long-Thibault, Carrie Solomon, Jamie Long (Lisa) and Lisa Franssen (Paul). Step father of Paula Meyers (Dan), Robert Gilkes (Nancy), Michael Gilkes and Ann-Marie Mrakich. Proud Grandpa of Sarah, Bailey, Felicia, Bruce, Nick, Joe, Ben, Jade, Taylor, Tristan, Skylar, Amanda, Brianne, Melissa, Courtney, Kendra, Matthew and Brittany. Great Grandpa of 15. Son of the late Hazel Moore (nee Seabrook) and Harvey Moore. Dear brother of Harold (Mary), Shirley Vine (late Bud), Robert (Sonia), Barbara Meyers (Bob) and predeceased by Ted Long and Linda Weir (late Frank). Elgin will be missed by many friends, nieces and nephews. Friends may visit at the Bethel Bible Chapel (686 Black Road) on Friday, August 24, 2018 from 6 – 9 pm and on Saturday, August 25, 2018 from 10 am until time of Funeral Service at 11 am.
