LOMBARDI, Ester

May 19, 1921 – February 14, 2015. Passed away peacefully at the age of 93 years.   Predeceased by her husband, Luigi DalBianco (passed away 1945,) and her parents, Agata DeAngelis and Enrico Lombardi.   Sister to Agnese, the late Angelo, late Rosi, late Giovanni and late Nino.   She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Grace D’Angelo (Dal Bianco,) her three grandchildren, Nadia D’Angelo, Paula D’Angelo and Cara D’Angelo Battel (husband Anthony Battel) and her three great-grandchildren, Romana, Marcella and Cesare Battel.  Ester was born in Brescia, Italy.  She came to Canada in 1957 and lived in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario where she ran a travel agency, assisted in the operation of the Italian Consulate with Mario Biagini, and helped to create an Italian radio program for the community.  She later returned to Italy to live for several years before once again residing in Canada.  Visitation and a service will be held on February 20, at 2pm at the DeMarco Funeral Visitation Centre in Woodbridge Ontario.  Online condolences can be placed at demarcofuneralhomes.com.
