We the sisters and brothers of Howard regret to announce his passing on Monday January 22, 2018 at the age of 92.

Howard was the eldest son of Percy & Myrtle Lethbridge and was the grandson of William & Annie Lethbridge, James & Marjorie Elliott all of East Korah and all predeceased him. He came from a large family of 6 brothers and 8 sisters, Dorothy (late Edward) Philie of Montreal, late Audrey (late Andy) Allen, late Bill (late Mary), Percy (Elaine), Eldon (Dorothy), Beth (late Bob), Marlene (late Edgar) Wilson, Patricia (Sonny) Berry, late Rose-Marie, Douglas (Marg), Dennis (“Bun”), Nancy (late Mike) McClelland, Gordon (Diana) all of Sault Ste. Marie.

Many, many nieces and nephews, who will always remember Uncle Howard’s guitar playing and singing (country of course) with Uncle Bill and Aunt Rosie joining in.

Howard joined the army (W.W.II) when he turned 18 and was in Basic Training when the war ended, he came home and worked with his Grandpa Lethbridge on the roads north of the Soo driving snow plough etc. for the Federal Government and later worked for the Korah as Pay Loader (“Engineer”) as he called it.

Howard was born and raised on our farm on People’s Road in East Korah and when the city of Sault Ste. Marie amalgamated with Korah he worked for the city until his retirement.

He retired to his cottage in Heyden then bought a camp at Ranger Lake where he enjoyed much of his time in his boat catching fish and enjoying his friends and neighbours.

We would like to thank Emerg. Dr. Booth and nurse, Aaron who made him so peaceful in his final hours, also we would like to thank his Doctor, Jeff Jonusitis and his nurse Jody of the Group Health who always took care of him when he had a problem.

He will be cremated and his ashes will go in the family plot in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will have a get together at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to O’Sullivan Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 215 St. James St, 705-759-8456.
