It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Carol at the Sault Area Hospital on Friday March 8, 2019 surrounded by the love of her family at the age of 73. Beloved wife of Doug Leavens for 16 years. Cherished mother of Tammy Prosser (John Skalko), Darrell Schmeckpeper (Jennifer) and Juanita Macguigan.
Adored grandma of Gavin (Andrea Anich), Bailey and Tayanna Prosser & Zachary, Zoe and Aubrie Schmeckpeper. Predeceased by her parents Walter and Irene Collar. Special sister of late George (Jean), Darrell (Linda), Arnold (Suzie) and the late Donalda Masters. Special Aunt of Susan Collar (Dale). Life long friend of Gloria Ellenor (Jack) and Hedi Kment. Mary Carol will be missed by her many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road, 705-945-7758) on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 from 12 noon until time of the Memorial Service in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. with Major Sean Furey officiating. Memorial donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society or The Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
