LAPLAUNT, Jerold (Jerry)

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our Father and Grandpa at the Sault Area Hospital on Saturday, April 19, 2014, 2 weeks after his 80th birthday.  Reunited with his beloved wife of 54 years, late Giovanina “Jenny” (nee Carbone). He will be deeply missed by his children Lori Williamson (Larry), Karen Pettenuzzo (Lou), Jerry Jr. (Kendra) and Jim (Colleen). He was a loving and proud Granpa to Susan Rutledge (Aaron), Shawna Plastino (Rick), Allycia (Jon), Adam and Jessica Pettenuzzo, Mitchell LaPlaunt, Dylan LaPlaunt, Josh and Tyler Zorzi. Special great-grandpa to Jennifer, Spencer, Madison and Joshua. His grandchildren were the love of his life. Brother of the late Leo, Bob, Ron, Leeland and Joyce. Predeceased by his parents Zeta and Leo and siblings Rose, Leo and Jean. Brother-in-law of the late Gabriel Carbone (Beverly), the late Mary Devoe (Bud), Tony Carbone (Colleen), the late Pat Carbone (Mary) and the late Joe Carbone (Joanne). He will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Friends and family may call at the Arthur Funeral and Cremation Centre on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 from 6-9 pm. Funeral service to be held in the chapel on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at 11 am. Memorial contributions to FJ Davey Home Day Away Program or the Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated. Dad you touched so many people with your sense of humour and funny stories. You will always be truly loved Dad and we miss you. We were blessed to have you in our lives.
