Peacefully at the F.J. Davey Home on Friday, June 5, 2020 at the age of 83 with his wife at his side.  

Loving and supportive husband of Verna (nee Watson) for 60 years.  Caring father of David (Nancy), Wesley (Jeanie) and Laurel Crain.  Proud grandfather of Alex (Sara), Shannon, Kate, Bradley and Colin.  Great grandfather of Elle.  Dear brother of Roy (Anna) and Jim (Shirley).  Son of the late Thomas and Christine Lapish.  Harry will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and good friends.  He will be remembered for his many years of hard work as a cash crop farmer, his service to the community through Laird Township Council, North Shore Agricultural Society, Laird Recreation Committee, Bar River Hall Committee, United Church Stewardship Committee as well as his children's many sports activities.  After retirement, Harry worked with his friend Roger Fremlin and for Northshore Tractor delivering equipment throughout the area.  He also enjoyed many travels with Verna including trips throughout Canada and the US and to Australia, New Zealand and Europe.  He had a keen interest in older machinery, local fairs, steam shows and car shows.  Harry delighted in his farm work and was well known for the quality of his product.  He also thoroughly enjoyed snowmobiling and dancing.   

A private funeral service will be held at Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E. 705-759-2522) with Rev. Bruce McLeish officiating.  Interment Laird Cemetery.  Friends are invited to view the service online starting at 1:30 pm on Monday, June 8, 2020 and can be viewed anytime up to 90 days.  Go to www.funeraweb.tv and select Harry's name to view the service.
