It is with great sorrow that we announce the quiet passing of Bay Laderoute, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He passed at the Sault Area Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Husband, greatest love and soul mate for 33 years of Laurie. Best friend and proud supporter of his children, James (Tanisha) and Chelsea. Treasured by his 4 grandchildren Hudson, Dallas, Marley and Harlow. Fun loving and crazy brother of Mike (Beth), late Joanne (late Ed), Giselle (Bruno), Rachel (Chuck), Tammy, and Kim (Scott). Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Bay will be forever missed by his best friend Greg Shackelton “Shack”. Predeceased by his parents George and Helene Laderoute.
Bay was an avid Habs fan. He loved fishing, hunting, cooking for his family, watching westerns and socializing with family and friends. He really enjoyed working the canteen at the Blind River Arena where he was well known for joking with the families and children of our community. He was smart, compassionate, happy, always laughing and never complained. We will forever miss his homemade gourmet Chinese food, his killer chicken noodle soup and his larger-than-life personality. He was our gentle giant, our protector and the family anchor in our universe and we will forever miss his presence.
