January 22, 1935 – October 24, 2024

Peacefully at the F.J. Davey Home, June was called by her Lord and Saviour.

Loving partner of Terry Haskill for almost 20 years. Precious mother of Garry (Edith) Stevens, the late Kelly Stevens, and Frank (Tammy) Kment. Grandmother and Great Grandmother to many.

June was born in England to the late Frank and Violet Hallford. She had 5 Siblings: late Yvonne Chakravorti, late Sheila Northcote, late Frank Hallford, Maureen Metcalfe, and Francine Brett. June moved to Canada by herself in her early 20’s. She lived a very full, eventful life.

She loved music and ballroom dancing. She was so good at it that she even taught classes to people that wanted to learn. Throughout her lifetime spanning over 90 years, she lived to help people less fortunate. Her heart was bigger than she was. June loved to dress up from the time her sisters can remember. She was funny, spunky, and full of life, right up until the past few years where Dementia and the affects of a stroke slowed her down and changed her world.

June loved animals and had many over the years. She will be missed greatly by her fur baby Cooper, and is reunited with Rex and Sammy (her 34-year-old Siamese cat) whom she missed dearly.

June and her boyfriend Terry liked watching Gospel Hours Vision TV singing along as she was a firm believer in his promise which says:

 “WE will all meet again.”

But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren concerning them which are asleep, that your sorrow not even as others that have no hope for it, for we believe that Jesus died and rose again even so them which sleep, in Jesus will God bring with him.

1 Thessalonians 4: 13,14.

We would like to thank the staff at the Davey Home for the care and compassion they showed not only June, but to all of us over the past few months. You all make this would a better place.

At this time, cremation has taken place, and no services will be held. Memorial donations made to the Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society would be greatly appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to O’Sullivan Funeral Home, 215 St James Street, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, P6A 1P7, 705-759-8456.
