(December 15, 1957 – April 30, 2019)

With broken hearts, we announce that Randy passed away peacefully, after years of ongoing health issues, at the Sault Area Hospital with his loving family by his side.

Beloved son of Emily Kainula (late Karl). Randy was the middle of seven siblings of a very close-knit family. He will be dearly missed by his brothers Ken (Jennifer), Larry (Carol), Ernie (Susan), Doug (Louise), Ritchie and his adored sister Charlene (Jeff). Very much loved by his nieces and nephews Trisha, Stephanie (Spencer), Brittany (Dave), Jenna (Mark), Jonathan, Laurie, Nicholas (Theresa), Kevin, Adam, Shannon and great uncle to seven. Will be missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Randy enjoyed and fondly remembered the many years he volunteered as a coach for Boys Minor League Slow-Pitch.

Randy and his family would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff at the Toronto General Hospital and the many doctors and nurses that he had over the years in the Sault who were responsible for his care.

A special thanks to the doctors and wonderful comforting nurses (Randy’s angels) in the Intensive Care Unit at the SAH.

In respecting Randy’s wishes a private family service was held and cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Sault Area Hospital Foundation would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Arthur Funeral Home – Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E 705-759-2522).
