Passed away peacefully at the F.J. Davey Home on Sunday, September 2, 2019 at the age of 89.
Son of the late Alec and Hannah Kahtava. Beloved husband for over 68 years of the late Joyce Kahtava (nee Johnson). Loving father of the late Randy (Debbie) and the late Rod (Sherry) and will be lovingly remembered by his son Tim and Melody. Dear brother of Alec (Sharon) and his sister Barbara Debyl (Tony). He is preceded in death by his brothers Jouko (Jane) and Tev (Janet Lee) and his sister Terry Hurley (Bob). Proud grandpa of Corey, Karen (Dan), Steven (Hiroko), Carolyn (Trevor), Nathan and Joel. Great-grandpa of 5 great-grandchildren. Yorma will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. There will be a private graveside committal at Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions (payable by cheque) to the Alzheimer Society or the Northshore Family Centre would be appreciated. A special thank you to the nurses and staff of the F.J. Davey Home 3rd Floor Cedar Grove for all their loving care and support to Yorma and Joyce through the years.
