It is with great sadness that the family of Eileen Juottonen announces her passing on August 20th, 2005 at the age of 79. She is predeceased by her husbands Taito Nirkkola and Pentti Juottonen , by her parents William and Christina Burke , brother William Burke (Viola), sister Betty Donaghue (Colin), loving and cherished mother of Bill Nirkkola (Marilyn), Valerie Bitten and Christine Bemister (Eric).Devoted grandmother of Tiffany Nirkkola, Chrissy Dewar (Scott), Geoffrey Bitten, Jen Bitten, Jeanette Pare (Pierre), Christopher Bemister and Steven Bemister (Angie). Great grandmother of Chance, Jessica, Riley, Megan, Kyle and Corry. Devoted aunt of Melissa, Scott, Sheila, Wendy, Hank, Tim, Marla and Cindy. She will be sadly missed by many friends and family. The family would like to express its appreciation to the Sault Area Hospital staff, Dr. Buehner and Dr. Spadafora , Oncology and Palliative Care for their ongoing support, compassion and professionalism. A private family service was held at Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre. Rev. Canon Earl Burke officiated.
