Julius “Butch” Parkis, age 81, of Eckerman, Michigan, died on January 4, 2024, at the Ball Hospice House in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. He was born on October 31, 1942, to John and Julia (Olson) Parkis.
Butch grew up in Trenton, Michigan, until his family moved to Lincoln Park, Michigan. He met Dianne in Lincoln Park, and they were married on October 8, 1966, for 57 years. In the 1970’s, Butch and Dianne moved and settled in Eckerman.
Butch was a volunteer for the Whitefish Township Fire Department.
Butch enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and being outdoors.
Per Butch’s wishes, he will be cremated with no services.
