Barbara passed away on Wednesday April 28, 2021 at the Sault Area Hospital. Pre-deceased by her much-loved husband Tim, she is survived by fond brother-in-law (Frederick) John and her nieces and nephew Penelope, Priscilla and Jonathan, all residing in England.
Barbara emigrated to Canada in the 1950’s and was the first woman ever to qualify as an accountant in Ontario. She joined the Ontario Development Corporation and became its Financial Director.
On retirement she and Tim divided their time between Canada and Florida, eventually choosing to settle in Sault. After the death of her husband, she travelled the world by sea, stopping off in England when possible.
Barbara was indefatigable in everything she put her mind to, a great racconteuse and marvellous company. She will be very fondly remembered.
As per Barbara’s wishes, there will not be any visitation or service.
