In loving memory of Noreen Elizabeth Johnson (nee Cannon), who passed away on October 29 th, 2024 at Health Sciences North in Sudbury.
Predeceased by her husband David Johnson. Loving mother of her two children Sharon Johnson and Davey Johnson (Natalie Moncion-Johnson). Beloved “Beema” of her grandchildren Melissa Piche, John David Scanlon, Dawn Crites, Haydee Johnson and Natas Johnson.
Noreen was born in Spragge before moving to Sault Ste Marie, where she married David and raised their children. She moved to Sudbury later in life to be closer to her children and grandchildren.
Noreen’s friends and family knew her as a generous, kind-hearted and loving woman who was well known for her cooking, baking and crafting skills. Her hands were rarely still. With being an avid crafter, she always had a project, or several, on the go. She shared her love by cooking and baking, and often gifted these to her friends and family, and was always quick to volunteer her time and skills by donating her baked goods and handmade projects for community and church functions.
The family would like to sincerely thank the nursing staff on 4 North, Dr. Strong, Dr. Singh, Dr. Carlson, Dr. Dumais and Rocsan for the care and compassion shown to Noreen during her last days on Earth. It gives us great comfort to know that she is now in Heaven with God, her Creator.
As per Noreen’s wishes, there will be no services. Memorial contributions to the Northern Cancer Foundation or the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Menard Funeral Home.
