Peacefully and unexpectedly at the Sault Area Hospital on Monday, January 9, 2023 at the age of 71. For the past few years it was a struggle everyday taking a breath and on January 9, 2023 mom took her last breath with her son Jamie by her side. She will be reunited with her mother Betty, father George, brother Allen and by her sisters Jackie and Linda. Joan will be forever mourned by her brothers Jimmy (Gail), Gerry (late Dorothy), Gaston (Kim) and her sisters Denise (late Vic) and Diane (Claude) and by her honourary father Andre Beaudoin. Loving mother of Jamie (Sherri) and Dawn (Bob) and special mumsie to Howard and the late Doug. Loving and devoted Nana to her peanut Mikayla. Nana Joan to Cheryl, Adam and Aiden. Devoted aunty momma to Shona (Tim) and Lisa (Lloyd). Beloved aunty Joanie to many nieces and nephews. Survived by her aunt and godmother Yvonne Beaudoin and by her best friend and cousin Debbie Weatherbee. Special thank you to Dawn and Cindy from Bayshore and the ICU nursing staff especially her nurse Robbi. At mom's request cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will take place in Wawa on Saturday, July 22, 2023 once the flowers have bloomed.
