It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our dearest Mother, Nonna and Wife, at the age of 73 on Thursday, February 17, 2022, peacefully at home, with dignity and grace with family by her side.

Pre-deceased by her loving husband Frank, of 54 years. Beloved Mother of Robert, Patricia (Jeff) and Sarah (Kevin). Very special Nonna to Ava, Emma and Landon. Born in the small town of Bucchianico in the province of Chieti (Abruzzo) Italy.  Pre-deceased by her Parents, Adamo and Carolina Volpe. Baby sister of Valentino (late Bennetta), Late Dora (Late Giuseppe), Maria (late Rocco), Italia (Late Nichol), Giueseppina (Vince), Vincenzio (Marion), and big sister to Ottaviano (Ivanna). Extra loved by her MANY nieces and nephews. Missed dearly by her cousins Fidemla, (Late Diamante), Osvaldo and Enia Volpe, and the Santone and Saraulla families of Italy. Very special companion of Richard Beaton, and extra bonus Great-Grandma to Logan and Dezarai. She will be especially missed by her fur grandbabies Ace, Kai, Minnie and Milan.

She will be fondly remembered by her “kids” at Casino Sault Ste. Marie, where she was well known for her infectious smile, laugh and witty personality.  She was also known to many as “Ma”, “Annie”, “Rosetta” and “Banana” as she simply owned a small piece of everyone’s heart and they each carry their own special memories.  She will continue to watch over her friends as they carry on the tradition of the 10am Coffee Club, where we are sure they will still hear her sassy and over the top comments.

She was a social butterfly who loved being surrounded by friends and family, always in the kitchen, cracking jokes, and making sure everyone around her was comfortable, full of food, and happy. She was a selfless woman who won over the hearts of many. She will be truly missed by all.  A huge thank you to the Sault Area Hospital Staff, Dr. Sharon Buehner and the palliative care team,  Dr. Voutsadakis and the Oncology department, along with ParaMed services (Susan) and PSW support.
