Barry passed away at his home on Monday, July 10, 2023, at the age of 58. Survived by his wife Ruth Southwind. Father of Crystal, Anita (Andrew), late Amanda, Kenneth, late Jessica, Emily (Jonathan), and Ashley (Ethan). Grandfather of Jordan, Jessie, Jacob, and Tyson. Son of the late John A. Holmes, Elliot, the late Violet Holmes, and Ken Wallace. Special friend to Manon, Penny, Valerie, Vince, Nando, Catherine, and many others.
We as a family will cherish the many memories that were shared and celebrated amongst family and friends. The memorable Canada Day celebrations and BBQs, singing and playing guitar. Listening to and requesting music on his Bear’s Tracks Radio, Dungeons & Dragon nights with friends and watching NASCAR and hockey, hearing GO LEAFS GO! Everyone has a special memory of Barry and will forever be shared while remembering Barry’s laughter and joy.
A Celebration of Life took place on Sunday, July 16, 2023, at 3pm in Sagamok. A burial service will take place on Sunday, September 3rd, 2023, at the Arden Cemetery (more details to follow).
