Passed away into the arms of her Lord and Saviour with her husband by her side on Wednesday, August 22, 2024, at ARCH at the age of 70.
Survived by her loving husband of 23 years, Terry Hodnett.
Dear sister of Hannu (Doris) Tanninen, Eija (Armas) Marttinen, Martti (Eva) Tanninen, Sisko (Russell) Kysar, Mark (Diane) Tanninen, Seija (Jerry) Lemieux, Pekka (Mari) Tanninen, Effie (late Marvin) Raisanen, Lauri (Anni) Tanninen, and Ruth (Tuomo) Vuohijoki. Sister-in-law of Toini Tanninen, Leila Tanninen, Jeanie (Tanninen) Bruckelmyer, and Elaine Tanninen. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews as well as many friends from Canada, America, and Europe.
Predeceased by her parents Emil and Vieno Tanninen as well as her brothers: Leo, Seppo, Esa, Heikki, Vesa, and Edward.
Special thank you to her doctors: Dr. Spadafora, Dr. Booth, Dr. Taylor, and her ‘champion’ Dr. Schamp. Thank you to Louise and the cancer clinic and her Paramed nurses, Livia and Sierra whom she loved. Sincere thanks to the staff at ARCH for their care, compassion and heart warming send off.
In lieu of flowers, donations made be made to the Old Apostolic Church or ARCH and would be greatly appreciated by the family.
Resting at the Old Apostolic Church (742 Third Line East), on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, from 6pm – 8pm. A funeral service will be held at church on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at 11am.
