Long-time resident of Goulais River, peacefully at the General Hospital on Friday March 18, 2004; Elaine Higgins at the age of 60 years. Beloved wife and soul mate of David Higgins. Dear mother of Laurie Isaacs (Brian) and Bill. Sweet Grammie of Kaatlin Elaine Isaacs. Daughter of the late Ernest and Mary Pierman. Sister of Ken Pierman (Barbara) of Goulais River, Mary Shearer (Jim) of Mount Blanchard, Ohio, Paul Pierman (Judy O'Neal) and John Pierman (Vicki) of Traverse City, Michigan. Daughter-in-law of the late Beatrice and Jabez Higgins. Sister-in-law of Donald Higgins (Florence), Eldon Higgins (Wilma) of Guelph and the late Ruple Willy (Ken) (late Cyril Ash) and the late Rodney Higgins (Edna) of Kelowna, B.C. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, neighbours and special friends. Friends may call at the Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Sunday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service in the Chapel on Monday March 22, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. with Mr. Klinton Jacques and Mr. Larry O'Regan officiating. Spring interment at Goulais River Cemetery. Memorial donations made to the Sault Area Hospitals - Oncology Fund or the Goulais River Fire and Rescue would be appreciated by the family.
