May 9, 1962 – July 21, 2024
On July 21, 2024, our beloved sister, aunt, and dear friend, Lois Elsie Hetherington, went home to be with her Saviour. Predeceased by her parents Carmen and Bernice Hetherington, she leaves behind her cherished siblings Helen (Reg), Gail, and Lance (Lori Lei). Lois adored her nieces and nephews—Amanda, David, Philip, Stewart, Lisa, Eric, and Ava—whom she loved with all her heart. Her absence will also be deeply felt by her numerous friends who celebrate her freedom from pain while mourning her loss.
Lois was a natural caregiver who devoted several years to caring for her mother. In her career as an Early Childhood Educator, she profoundly impacted the lives of many children by sharing Bible stories and teaching them about Jesus' love.
Lois faced her battle with ALS with remarkable wit and an unyielding sense of humour. Her deepest wish was to glorify God through her illness and to shine brightly for Jesus. Well done, sweet lady. Mission accomplished.
Details of a celebration of life for Lois will be announced at a later date.
