HEINEMAN, Erin Kathleen (nee Malone)

Surrounded by the love of her family and friends, Erin passed away peacefully after a sudden and brief battle with cancer on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 in Sault Ste. Marie. Beloved daughter of the late Edward and Genevieve Malone. Sister of Carolann Pagnucco (late Joe), Collen Kurtz (Larry), Karen Allard (Jean-Marie), Paddy Gartshore (Leo) and Michael Malone (Patricia). Beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews. Erin is survived by her children, Max Heineman (Grace Forrest), Sam Heineman (Nokomis O’Brien), Genevieve Heineman (Kin Size) and Naima DePinedo (Rahim DePinedo) and her grandchildren; Elijah Heineman (Rayanna Ribeiro), Estelle Heineman and Yolanda DePinedo. Erin was a bright light; a mother, a grandmother and songbird with the voice of an angel. She was a teacher, environmentalist and feminist who strived to a difference and leave the world a better place. A private family service was held on Friday August 30, 2019 at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. We would like to acknowledge and thank the staff at the Sault Area Hospital and ARCH with whom she made heartfelt connections. Their love and kind care will be fondly remembered by Erin’s family and friends.
