Peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Friday, August 2, 2019 at the age of 93 years.
Beloved wife of the late Harold Harten for 71 years. Loving mother of Donna Hicks (late Nolan), Christine May (late Ron) and Judy Harten. Proud grandmother of Brenda, Claude (Natalie), Rachel (Sean), Raymond (Amber), Rick, Shelley, Jakob, Kayden, Shawn (Moe) and Genevieve (Mike). Great grandmother of Mitchell, Alisia (Julian), Ashley (Jason), Peyton, Hillary, Jose, Emma, Miley, Nikeisha, Braydon, Kylea, Brieanna, Jonathan (Amanda), Dylan, Christopher, Shawn Jr., Tye, Sophie, Brantley and the late Damon. Great Great grandmother of Max, Quinten, Ameila, Oliver, Mason, Mable and River.
At Isobel’s request, there will be no visitation. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. We are grateful for the empathy and kindness of Isobel's many, nurses, PSWs, friends and family for their support during our mother's battle with Alzheimer's . A special thank you to her daughter Christine for making it possible for Isobel to remain at home during the end stages of life. Your hard work never went unnoticed.
We would also like to thank the Day away program at the Davey Home for providing Isobel with the opportunity to continue living life with quality and care. She loved going there. Memorial contributions (payable by cheque) to the Alzheimer Society, Meals on Wheels or the F.J. Davey Home Day Away Program would be appreciated.
