August 5, 1942 - September 24, 2022 - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bev at the age of 80.
Wife of Keith Hammond for 60 years. Proud mother of Wanda Gurevitch (Eugene) and Steven Hammond. Dear sister of the late Dorthea, Marjorie, Keith, Gerald, Fred, Vera, Ruth, Glen, Stanley, Gary, Kirk and Wayne. Grandmother, great grandmother, cousin and friend to many.
Bev was born on Cockburn Island and remained there until she was 17 years old before moving to Sault Ste. Marie, where she met Keith shortly after. Bev enjoyed gardening, and was very involved with the U.C.W through Emmanuel United Church. Bev will be fondly remembered for her giving spirit and was always willing to help out those in need.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation in Bev's honour at Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E., 705-759-2522)on Saturday, October 8, 2022 for a brief period at 1:30 until the time of service in the chapel at 2:00 with Rev. Nancy Ferguson officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations (made payable by cheque or online) to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or A.R.C.H. would be greatly appreciated by the family.
