Passed away peacefully, under the wonderful care of the staff and nurses of Mauno Kaihla Koti, on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at the age of 84. Husband of the late Tilma Annikki (nee Haikara). Loving father of Raymond Halonen (Cherry-Ann), Eva Halonen, Linda Pieniniemi (Sauli), Tim Halonen and Brian Halonen. Adored grandpa of Jeremy, Erika (Tony), Leeanna (Kane), Brian, Skylar, Raymond, Zendaya, Allison, Ryanna, Rykar, and great-grandpa of Quinnton. Predeceased by his parents Salomon and Eeva Halonen, and his brothers Usko and Asko Halonen. Survived by his sisters Leila Beaulieu (late Paul) and Paivi Lane (Robert). Brother-in-law of Teijo Haikara (Kaija). Reijo will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
At Reijo's request, no funeral services will be held. He will be laid to rest beside his loving wife in Woodstock, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions payable by cheque or online to Ontario Finnish Resthome Association Foundation Mauno Kaihla Koti Fund would be appreciated by the family.
