It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden and tragic passing of Shannon on Monday October 17, 2022. Words cannot describe the emptiness we feel and the pain we are going through as a family.
Loving and adored daughter of Sandra Hallam. Special mother to Owen Evans. Cherished and loved Aunt to Ethan Jourdin. Beloved granddaughter of Jacqueline Hallam and the late Robert Hallam.
Shannon is the niece of Chris Hallam, Terri Wagner (Ron) and the late Kim. Special niece to Mike Madsen. She is a loved cousin of Jimmy Hallam (Alishia), Sarah Hallam (Jim), Chris Madsen (Ami) and Amy Loew (Nick).
Shannon is now at peace. She has reunited with her best friend/brother, Wesley and she joins our angel in heaven, Auntie Kimmy; both taken from us far too soon.
Shannon had a heart of gold. She was kind and compassionate. She would do anything for her son, Owen, who was and will forever be the light of her life. Shannon was fiercely protective of her nephew, Ethan, whom she loved dearly. Her family and friends meant everything to her. She will missed by so many.
We endured this illness, the troubling times and its consequences together as a family. Despite the tumultuous times and constant worry, we knew that we would love her into wellness. Our family understands and appreciates how difficult it is for anyone working in the environment, and families suffering with loved ones, brought on by this terrible disease. We have empathy and gratitude for our frontline workers who have assisted in so many ways, by doing much more than just enforcement, during this epidemic and time of crisis for so many.
Although our family has endured such tragedy and loss, we will move forward with dignity and grace. We will continue to laugh together. We may shed tears, but we will do so while reminiscing of the fond memories and the fun times that we’ve shared together.
Rest Easy Shannon! We love you and we will miss you. You and Wesley will never be far from our hearts.
Memorial contributions to the Autism Foundation would be appreciated (Payable by cheque).
