Roxanne
With profound sadness, the family of Roxanne Hallaert announces her sudden passing at home on Saturday September 26, 2020, in her 64th year. Long-time partner and best friend of Anthony Joseph. Roxanne leaves her cherished sons Brian (Krista) and Bradley (Kim). Beloved sister of the late D’Arcy McGee (late Patti) and Rick McGee (Christine). Grandmother of Austin Hallaert (Brianna) and great-grandmother of Grayson Hallaert. Aunt of several nephews and cousin of many. Roxanne was born into a heartbreakingly harsh environment far from Sault Ste. Marie. The circumstances impacted the rest of her life. At the age of five, she was joyfully welcomed into a new home and a new family by Ray and Ruby McGee. Their steadfast, unconditional love endured for the rest of their lives.

Despite facing many obstacles and hardships over her lifetime, Roxanne bravely persevered and richly blessed the lives of those closest to her. Special thanks are extended to Gertie Hollingshead and Paul Joseph for the kindness and support shown to Roxanne. We are also truly grateful for all those whose gentle words and kind deeds along the way made Roxanne’s often difficult journey a little easier and a little happier. Those so inclined may wish to contribute (on-line or payable to) the Canadian Mental Heath Association’s Hope House-Club 84.

Arrangements entrusted to O’Sullivan Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 215 St. James St, 705-759-8456.
