With his family at his side, George went peacefully to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 30, 2004 at the age of 89. Beloved husband of Carmel (nee Hill) for 58 years. Loving father of Ardith Brescacin (Laurie), Murray Hall (Chris), Wilda Ryckman (Jerry) and Mona Everhart (Corey). Proud grandfather of 11 and great grandfather of 9, with two more on the way. Ardith and Laurie’s children and grandchildren (St. Thomas, Ontario): Ange and Roman Seabrook (Christian, Noelle and Soren), Carla and Richard Dew (Mitchel and Makela), Becky and Will Ong (expecting); Murray and Chris’ children and grandchildren (Abbottsford, B.C.): Jeremy and Loréal Hall (Ty, Jude and Jared), Josh and Lana Hall (Kennedy and expecting), Katie and Ryan Chyld, Maggi Hall and Jessi Hall; Mona’s children (Huntington Beach, CA): April and Bryan Burns, Erin Florent and Garrett Florent. Brother of the late Jessie Richards (Lloyd), the late Jim (late Annie) and the late Gordon (Geraldine). Brother-in-law of Audrey Smith (late Jim). Uncle to several nieces and nephews. George honoured his country with 2 years of active overseas duty in World War II. He served as an air gunner and flight sergeant with the Royal Canadian Air Force. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home on Friday, December 3, 2004 from 10:30 am until time of the funeral service in the chapel at 1 pm. Rev. Sam Norbo officiating.
