It is with great sadness that the family of Gerald Haché announces his passing on the morning of November 1, 2021, with his two girls at his side in his 79th year.

Cherished husband of the late Alvina and to present-day Betty-Ann of Thunder Bay. Jerry will be fondly remembered by his daughter Michelle (Steve), stepchildren Debra, Chris (Lise), Kevin (Lorri-Ann), and Barbara, grandchildren Alyssa (Brett), Roberta, Justin (Meghan), Kimberly, Jennifer (Jason), Samantha (Wayne), and Marshall. Loving great grandfather of Tyson, Cole, Madison, Kenyon, Adilynne, Maia, Erron, Dominic, Charlee, Jordan, Jazmyn, Bella, Brayden, and Amelia. He will be sadly missed by his family of New Brunswick, Thunder Bay, and throughout Canada.

A special thanks goes out to all of the paramedics and healthcare professionals who have crossed paths with Jerry in this past year, particularly in the last couple of months. Anne-Marie, Paul, Mitch, and Élyse - thank you for getting Papa to the hospital promptly, and for your kindness in his care. Erin, Amy, Paige, Brianna, and Drs. Laura Stone and Andrew Ip of the Sault Area Hospital Emergency Department - the important roles you played and your compassionate care for Papa throughout the last two weeks of his life were so appreciated and made this hard time that much easier. To the nurses of 3B, Jenna and Amanda, and Dr. Karen Booth - thank you for ensuring Papa had a comfortable journey through the end of life, and for being so accommodating in the process. Thanks goes out to the staff of the Great Northern Retirement home for watching over Papa during his short time there.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, The Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society, or a charity of your choice. There will be no service as per Jerry’s request, and a celebration of life will occur at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E. 705-759-2522).  Please visit www.arthurfuneralhome.com to leave a message of condolence or a memory as a keepsake for Gerald's family.

We’ll miss you Dad, Papa. We hope you’re listening to Johnny Cash with Teika, Katie, and Mom, Grandma by your side. Rest easy, Jerry.
