Suddenly at the General Hospital on Friday, October 10, 2003 at 78 years old. Beloved husband and best friend of June (nee Rose) for 55 years. Father of Valerie (Dennis) McMillan. Loving grandfather of Sean McMillan (of Kitchener) and Heather (Steve) Beckett of Sault Ste. Marie. Great grandfather of Sarah and Edward Beckett. Predeceased by parents Elizabeth and John Gutcher. Dear brother of Velma (Tom) Crabs and June (late Narcisse) Clement, of Massey, Ontario predeceased by Loyal, Morel, Cecil, Marion and Jack Gutcher. Son-in-law of the late Arthur and Irene (nee Rose) Thorne. Brother-in-law of Dorothy (late Bert) Harrison, of Orangeville, late John and Mary Rose, Neil (Aura-Lee) Rose, Norman (Betty), late Bill, Roma (late George) Barber, late Wanda (Walter) Chikoski, Howard (Harriet) Rose, Joan (late Bob) Kennis, Margaret (Ted) Rayner, of Winnipeg, and Randy (Beverly) Thorne. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Special long time friend of Carol Netherton. Will be sadly missed by his many musician friends.
