Passed away peacefully at Extendicare Mapleview on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at the age of 80.
Devoted husband to Madelon (Lonni) Gullen for 59 years. Adoring father to four children: Christine Gullen, late Kathy Woods (Shawn), Cheryl Hill (Phil), and Kenneth Gullen (Paula). Beloved grampa to Meagan Woods (Brent), Nathan Woods, Brianna Woods (Chris), Steven Hill, Michael Hill, Alexander Gullen, and Laiken Gullen. Great-Grampa to Cole Woods, Preston Woods, Alex Rose, Logan Brooks, and Mackenzie Brooks. Brother to the late Fred Gullen (Lynda), and Edith Bonner (late Bob). Loving uncle to Denise Stewart who was such a support and many other nieces and nephews. Best friend to John, Jerry, and Russ.
At George's request, cremation has taken place and no services will be held. Memorial contributions payable by cheque or online to the Alzheimer Society or Mapleview Resident's Council would be appreciated by the family. A big thanks to all the staff of Mapleview Echo Bay Unit for the wonderful care and the comfort they gave to George in his final days, especially Chrissie and Jaime.
