GREENWOOD, Roy

Peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at the age of 82 with his family at his side.  Our patriarch has gone to be with his parents the late Theodore and Cecelia Greenwood.  Loving husband of Audrey (Lake) for 43 years.  Proud father of Tracey Reid (Blair), Jennifer Schmeckpeper (Darrell) and Scott (Leslie).  Poppa of Joshua and Meghan Reid, Zachary, Zoe and Aubrie Schmeckpeper and Kyle, Riley and Dustin Greenwood.  Best brother of Garnet (Arlyne) of Sault Ste. Marie and brother of Ronald (Anita) of Toronto.  Brother-in-law of Joyce Rains (late Roland), Richard (Sandra), Maurice (late Elaine), late Alma Turco (Vince).  Respected Uncle and Great Uncle. Roy was the founder of Greenwood’s Locksmith for 50 years and in the last few years he handed the reigns to Scott who proudly stepped up to the task.  He worked at Algoma Steel for over 43 years until he retired in 1991.  He leaves behind a lifetime worth of knowledge to his children, grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 from 6 to 9 pm.  Funeral Service on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 from the chapel at 11 am.  Memorial contributions to the SAH Renal Dialysis Care Fund, SAH Critical Care Fund or choice would be appreciated.  A very special thank you to all the doctors and nurses in ICU for the tender loving compassionate care given our husband and father.   Expressions of sympathy may be offered at www.arthurfuneralhome.com
