December 8, 1929 - June 19, 2022 - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a beautiful man, Eric Morris Gratton.
He was the loving husband of the late Lauretta for 64 years. Father and friend to his adored son Mark and his wife "the daughter he never had", Carrianne. He loved his three grandchildren dearly, Emily, Ethan and Ella and they will miss him very much. Eric leaves behind his dear brother Wayne and his children. Morris is survived by 2 sister-in-laws, Gail Boomhower (late Ken) and Barbara Harriman (late Gordon) and so many nieces, nephews and friends who cherished his willing spirit.
Morris was 92, with a fierce determination to still be useful to his congregation and not be a burden to his family. We look forward with the same confidence Morris had, to the time when God will fulfill his promise to resurrect Morris and Lauretta to a perfect Paradise home. Acts 24:15. Until that time, we wait knowing Morris is at rest and in the safest place he can be, in Jehovah God's memory.
As per Morris' wishes, a service of remembrance will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations (made payable by cheque or online) to the Watchtower Society or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
