Heather Loraine Goodmurphy, sadly passed away on the 23rd of February 2025, at the age of 46. She was born on the 20th of September 1978, in the peaceful town of Thessalon and drew her last breath in the city of Sault Ste. Marie. Heather left behind a legacy of love, laughter, and the indomitable spirit that defined her.

Heather was the cherished daughter of Lincoln and Linda Goodmurphy, the spirited little sister to Bridgette, Kristina, and Curtis, and the proud mother of Hannah, Hunter, and Riley. Heather loved her Grandson Evan more than anything. She was the fun-loving aunt to Sarah, Grace, Jessie, Tamara, Matthew, Katie, Anthony, and Cordell, and a doting great-aunt to Lilah, Levi, Luca, Kashius, Nimkiis, Owen, Carson, and Jordan. Additionally, Heather was a dear friend to many, including Lovey, Shawn, Heather, and Jennifer, whose lives she touched with her warm and kind spirit.

Heather's zest for life was evident in her love for Harleys and the open road. The rev of the engine and the call of a new adventure were passions that Heather enjoyed sharing with friends and family. Her loyal dogs Marvel, Boss, and Jack were her steadfast companions, providing joy and comfort, and joining her in making cherished memories.

For Heather, making people smile wasn't just a pastime; it was a calling. She had a heart that instinctively recognized when someone needed help, and she never hesitated to extend her hand with kindness and compassion. Her adventurous soul led her to seek out new experiences, each one adding a vivid color to the tapestry of her memorable life.

The soundtrack of Heather's life was eclectic, filled with the strains of rock and roll and the melodies of various genres. Yet, it was the distinctive voice of Johnny Cash that resonated with her most deeply, each song a thread woven into her very being. His music was a comfort and a joy, an echo of the courage and vivacity that she herself embodied.

Those who knew Heather would describe her as loving, kind, hardworking, energetic, courageous, and undeniably funny—a woman whose laughter could light up the darkest of rooms. Her presence was a gift, and her absence leaves a space that cannot be filled. As Johnny Cash once said, "Life is the question and life is the answer, and God is the reason and love is the way." Heather lived by these words, finding her reason in the love she gave and received, and leaving a path illuminated by her remarkable spirit.

We bid farewell to Heather Loraine Goodmurphy, but the essence of who she was remains with us. Though she has embarked on her final adventure, the memories she created, the love she shared, and the lives she touched will continue to echo through the lives of those she left behind. Her story does not end with her passing; it lives on, a testament to a life well-lived and a woman dearly loved.

Heather's life will be celebrated in the hearts of all who knew her, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Though Heather is no longer with us in the physical realm, her legacy of love and courage will forever be etched in the annals of time. Rest in peace, Heather. Your light will never fade.
