Peacefully at the F.J. Davey Home on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at the age of 95. Beloved wife and best friend of the late Fred Gilliam for 50 years. Loving mother of Annie Chapman (late Ronald Sr.), Ernestine "Tina" Gauthier (Tex), Susan Pennell (Bill), Travis Gilliam (Wilma) and predeceased by Russel Dumond (Phyllis), Rodney Harrison and Georgina "Ina" Ross (Mike). Dearly loved by her many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Dear sister of the late Carlton Laird (late Pearl), late Jean Hicklin (late Ken), late Irene Coulson (late Joe) and the late Jack Laird (Doreen). Sister-in-law of the late Alma McCain (late George) and the late Ross Gilliam. Loved by many and deeply missed by her family. We can no longer see you with our eyes or touch you with our hands, but we will feel you in our hearts forever. Margaret was a lifetime member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Special thanks to the staff at the F.J. Davey Home for the care and compassion over the years. A private family funeral will be held at the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street E. 705-759-2522) with Mrs. Helen Smith officiating.
