Passed away peacefully at the F.J. Davey Home with family by her side on Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at the age of 89. Beloved wife of the late Francesco Giuseppe. Dear mother of Maria Simbirski (Shawn) and Rudy Giacchetti (Sean) of Hamilton, Ontario. Nonna of Antonio, Angela and Emma. Special Grandmother of Brian (Eva) and former mother-in-law of Judy. Predeceased by her parents Giustino Di Lanzo and Maria Camilla De Leonardis of Bucchianico, Italy. Dear sister of the late Annina Capodifoglio (late Giovanni), late Olga Giacchetti (late Antonio) and the late Urbano Di Lanzo (Violetta). Daughter-in-law of the late Carmine Giacchetti and the late Virginia Capodifoglio. Sister-in-law of Umberto Giacchetti (Illianna), Maria Di Lanzo (late Giuseppe) all of Bucchianico, Italy. She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to the staff of Apple Orchard 3 (F.J. Davey Home) for the care and compassion shown to Giuseppina. The entire staff made sure she was comfortable and pain free during her last days. A private family service will be held at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road, 705-945-7758) on Thursday, April 9, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Trevor Scarfone officiating. A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations to St. Gregory's Church or the F.J. Davey Home Foundation would be appreciated.
