Passed away peacefully at Sault Area Hospital in Sault Ste. Marie.
Beloved husband of his late wife Sharon Elizabeth (nee Lee). Father of John Edward Genders 'JR' (Kari), Brian Genders, William Genders, and stepfather of David Roger Lee Genders. Grandfather to Chase and Gage Genders. Step Grandfather to Nikki and Holly (Jon)
Loving brother of Karen Ann Murfin (Thomas), Cynthia Louise Mitchell (late Wayne), Thomas Randall Genders (Jennifer), Lee Craig Genders (Jill) and Terry Scott Genders.
Uncle to Kyle Mitchell, Katelyn Pitual (Richard) and great uncle to their children Lillian and Nolan. Uncle to Taylor and late Joseph Genders.
John was Born in Niagara Falls. He was the oldest of 6 siblings of his late parents John and Frances Genders. Growing up he enjoyed camping, fishing with the family. John took up the hobby of oil painting through his battle with cancer. His stepson David was by his side until John passed away. He will be sadly missed by his whole family and his dog Daisy.
Thank you to his friend Penny who was by his side through all his cancer treatments. Thank you to the Palliative Care team who took care of John.
