Patricia Garson, a cherished beacon of light and love, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 16, 2024, at the age of 65, in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, with family by her side. God has gained another angel.
Born on October 1, 1959, in Blind River, Ontario, Patricia's life journey began as the beloved daughter of the late Alfred and Lorraine LeClair. She grew to be a remarkable woman whose warmth radiated throughout her community and beyond.
A devoted mother, Patricia's nurturing spirit shone brightest around her children, Kevin (Liane) and Kris (Amanda). Her role as a grandmother was one, she held dear, loving her grandsons Owen, Grady, and Jaron "to the moon and back." Patricia's family was her world, and she leaves behind a legacy of love as a sister, aunt, and friend. Though her siblings late Darlene, Wendell (late Judy), Marcia (Pat), Lynn, Randy, late Cindy, Cathy (Guylaine), Jamie (April), Colleen (Garry), Kim (Jim), Brent (Laurie), and the late Brian, along with her many nieces and nephews, mourn her loss, they also celebrate the joy she brought into their lives. Patricia is also survived by her special friend, Otto, and her former husband, Terry (Carol). Their friendship and love for her will remain in their hearts forever.
Patricia's professional life as a Personal Support Worker (PSW) was marked by a deep commitment to the well-being of others. Her dedication extended into her role as a Union Steward, where she advocated passionately for her colleagues and the people they served. Her spirited and courageous nature made her a respected figure in her field, and her impact on those she worked with will be long remembered.
Those who knew Patricia were touched by her kind-hearted and free-spirited essence. Her infectious laugh and loving demeanor made every encounter with her a gift. She had a special way of making everyone she met feel important and cared for, a true testament to her character. Patricia's interests and activities reflected her generous spirit, as she was always ready to lend a helping hand and support those in need.
In her final days, Patricia was surrounded by the love and care of her family, friends, and the dedicated medical professionals who supported her. Special gratitude is extended to Dr. Hill, Dr. Buehner, nurses Lee and Jeff, and all of ARCH’s angels who assisted Patricia and her loved ones during her courageous battle.
Patricia's spirit will forever be woven into the fabric of the lives she touched. Her memory will be cherished and celebrated by all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
Patricia Garson's journey on earth has ended, but her story will continue to inspire and guide us. As we honor her memory, we take solace in knowing that her spirit lives on through the love she shared and the lives she enriched. Rest in peace, Patricia; your light will continue to shine in the hearts of those you've left behind.
As per Patricia’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and no services will be held at this time. Memorial donations made to ARCH in her memory would be greatly appreciated by the family.
