GARDNER, Edward (Ed) Joseph (December 22, 1914 - February 19, 2002) - passed way peacefully at Tendercare Nursing Home. Predeceased by his loving wife Dolly (Isobel) and parents Joseph and Jenny. Devoted father to Gary Gardner (Irene), Jill Milne (late Cecil), Jack O'Leary (Edith), James O'Leary, Margo O'Leary (Roger). Predeceased by brothers Bill (late Ilene), Stanley (Bev), Wilfred (late Kay), Arnold (Thelma) and sister Helen Wesala (late Oscar). Survived by his sisters May Chitty (late John), Irene Watts (late Jack), Gail McDermid (late Allan) and Norma Kubik (Andy). Dear Grandfather of 17 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Uncle and great uncle to many nieces and nephews. Ed was a naval veteran of the second would war. Upon returning from overseas he was employed at Algoma Central Railway, retiring as an engineer. During his retirement Ed enjoyed working in his garden growing vegetables that we all got to enjoy. A private service was held at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Monday, February 24, with Rev. Raymond Sullivan officiating. He was laid to rest beside his beloved "Doll", at Greenwood Cemetery.
