With heartfelt sorrow, we announce the passing of Beverly at the Sault Area Hospital on Thursday, January 2, 2025 at the age of 88. Beloved wife of Henry for 65 years. Dear mother of Dan Gaines (Sandra), Sharon Franklin (Rob) and the late Audrey Gaines. Proud grandma of Ryan (Brittney), Sarah Yoon (John), Christopher Franklin (Kelsey), Caitlin Turco (Jesse) and Cathryn Franklin (Lukas) and great grandma of Cooper, Connor, Isaac, Norah, Felix, Quinn and Emery. Predeceased by her parents LD and Ruth MacDonald, her siblings Frank (late Doreen, late Betty) and Clayton (Dawn) and her sisters and brother-in-law Evie (late Duffy, late Cecil), Fred (late Evelyn), Joan (late Roland, late John) and Lillian (late Don). She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Bev was a well-known staple in the community, owning and operating The Party Palace for many years. Her family was her life and no matter how extended they were, she always made it a point to keep in contact and stay connected. She was dedicated to the Anglican faith, working with the A.C.W.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial Service at Emmaus Anglican Church on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. with luncheon to follow. Memorial donations to the SAH Foundation or the Algoma Residential Community Hospice (ARCH) would be greatly appreciated by the family.
