Passed away peacefully with family at his side on Thursday November 14, 2024, at the age of 80.

Survived by his wife Lona Gagnon. Predeceased by his wives Shirley Bourdages and Margaret Rose Nolan.

Father of Lesley Gagnon (Robert).

Stepfather of Sam White (Amy), Sally White, Cindy Bishop and Sue Bishop.

Grandfather of Coral, Louis, Ashton, Cedar, Auroura, Shamas and Logan.

Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Velma Gagnon, as well as his sister’s Velma (Gordon), Louise, Joyce (Eric), Olive (Joe), Gail (Charlie), Lois (Jim) and brother’s William, Gerald (Pat) and Ronald. Survived by his brother Ken (Leona) and sister Barb (Joe).

He will be remembered by his special niece Linda Dubois, who was here till the end.

Allan was an avid fisherman and loved camping at Chiblow Lake. At Chiblow Lake you could find him at the BBQ or at the turkey friers, deep-frying fish and chips or celebrating his birthday with family and friends. He also liked being out with his daughter in the spring picking leeks.

He was a longtime employee of the Steel Plant, where he worked in the coke ovens. Allan was part of the Elks Lodge of Sault Ste Marie, ON where he was a past Exalted Ruler and volunteered as a driver, providing transportation for cancer patients between the Sault and Sudbury. He also enjoyed delivering the Sault Star to various businesses along the highway from the Sault to Thessalon.

He will be deeply missed by his nieces and nephews and all those who knew him.
