GABER, Ioan (John)

It is with great sadness that we wish to announce the passing of our dear father John on Monday, March 8, 2004. Born in Leonard, Manitoba on July 8, 1928. Predeceased by his former wife Mary (nee Onofereichuk) and son Randy Gaber. Sadly missed by his sons Ron (Kim), Bob (Irene) Mark, his present wife Cindy and his present wife Cindy and her daughter Lisa, grandchildren Sarah, Sabryna, Jessie, Dalton and great grandchild Veydtta. Survived by brothers Peter (Lena), George and sisters Dora, Anne, Maria and Margaret (Bill). John was a former owner of the “Fireside Inn” in the Sault and the “Seasons” in Heyden, Ontario. His strength evolved from his involvement and faith in his church the Romanian Orthodox religion, which he contributed to in Hamilton, Ontario. He was instrumental in helping it grow before moving to Sault Ste. Marie. John had been ill for several years and was motivated by his faith, his wife Cindy, his family and all the Doctors and Nurses in both Sault Ste. Marie and Sudbury Hospitals. A private visitation and funeral service was held at the Arthur Funeral Home and Cremation Centre. Rev. Jaroslaw (Jerry) Lazoryk officiated. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
