January 20, 1937 - December 8, 2020
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our dearly beloved Sheila on Thursday, December 8, 2020 at North Shore Health Network (NSHN) Blind River Site. Beloved mother of Murray (Shirley Ann), and the late Keith (Lorie). Grandmother of Jeffrey (Amy) and Ryan (Jessica) Fullerton and Lydia, Adria and Deanna Kurchina-Fullerton. Brother-in-law of Bob Hunter and aunt of Mark, Brenda and Grant Hunter. Cherished great grandmother of Jesstina, Kaedin, Patrick, Rylee, Ben and Bella. Predeceased by her parents Harold and Martha Strom, her husband Royden, her sister Shirley Hunter and her granddaughter Chelsey.
Sheila was an amazing, kind hearted and gracious lady who enjoyed a good laugh. Her love of games, especially cards, was shared with friends and family including grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening, golfing and spending time at the camp. She never swayed from purchasing a Ford vehicle as she repeatedly said the company had provided her with a comfortable lifestyle.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and caregivers at NSHN Blind River site for their compassionate care. We’d also like to say a special thank you Dr. Mary Shamas for her attentive care of Sheila over many years and especially her last few weeks.
Memorial donations can be made directly to St. Andrews United Church, 25 Centre Street, Blind River, ON P0R 1B0 or directly to NSHN Foundation www.nshnfoundation.care
