FRYIA, Helen Janet- Peacefully at home on Monday, December 11, 2023 at the age of 91.
Beloved wife of the late Joseph. Daughter of the late Clifton and Mary Snider. Loving mother of JoAnn Hughson (James), Brenda Kaufman (Jake), Kathleen Fryia, Mary Brooks (Tom) and Lorraine Paciocco (John). Cherished grandmother of Janet Poirier (Shawn), James Hughson Jr. (Vicky), Shari Feguenne (Shawn), Theresa and Joseph Gallivan, Lorraine, Karen and Tommy Brooks (Cristina), John Carlo Paciocco (Nicole) and Helen Diab (Andrew). Proud great grandmother of Tyler, Ethan, Hunter, Ben, Samuel, Emmerson, Ava, Edwin, Marco, Nikko, Jonathan, Owen, Sophia and Scarlett and great great grandmother of Jake. Predeceased by her siblings Erla Dowding (Bud), Bill Snider (Hazel), Dorothy Shaw (Sandy), Joyce Tielleman (Hank) and Wayne Snider (Connie) and Joe's siblings Isabel, Jean, Theresa, Jim, Tony, Vince, Blanche and Chummy . Survived by many nieces and nephews.
Helen was an avid quilter and was very artistic. She loved gardening and playing cards. Helen was most proud of her daughters and her grandchildren and loved nothing more than spending time with them.
Family and friends are invited to visit at Arthur Funeral Home-Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E.) on Monday, December 18, 2023 from 4 pm until 5:45 pm. Service to follow at 6 pm. Mrs. Helen Smith officiating. Cremation and interment with her husband in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial contributions (payable by cheque or online) to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society would be appreciated.
