FRASER, Martha Alice “Toots”

(February 10, 1937 – October 9, 2017) -   Peacefully passed away at the SAH with family by her side. Beloved wife of Ron, loving mother to Ellen Corcoran (Mike) and Roni Fraser (Derek Desilets). Cherished “Button” to Matthew Corcoran, Carlee Corcoran (Matt Baic), Dylan Nantais (Julie Theriault), Riley Nantais (David Fyfe) and Reese Malleau. Dear sister of the late Kaye Armstrong (late Glen), Phemia Sullivan (Alfie), Ellen MacDonald (Dennis), Donnie MacLean (Lorraine) and John MacLean. Aunt Toots was loved by many nieces and nephews and was Godmother to Sean Armstrong and Joe MacLean. Born in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Toots was very proud of her Scottish heritage, and she was always the first to lend a helping hand, especially to family and friends. Friends may visit at the Arthur Funeral Home – Barton Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. East 705-759-2522) on Thursday, October 12, 2017 from 12:30 pm until 2:30 pm. Funeral service in the chapel at 3 pm.  Rev. Eric Pannike officiating  Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.  Our family would like to thank Dr. Evans, Dr. Ip, Dr. Gallender and especially Dr. Katie Woolner for her exceptional dedication to Mom during her stay. We also thank nurses Andrew (ER) and Joanna, Jocelyn, Sherry and Laura (3A). Thank you to everyone from Van Daele Extendicare, specifically the 2nd floor staff for all the love and care they showed Mom over the last two years. Donations to the Extendicare Van Daele Resident Council or the VON Adult Day Centre would be appreciated by the family.
