FLEURY, Linda May (nee Ethier)

It is with deepest sorrow that the family announces the passing of Linda on July 5, 2014, at the age of 70, surrounded by her loving family at ARCH, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Beloved wife of Denis of 52 years.  Cherished mother of Sandra McLeod (Rob), Patricia Michaud (Jim), Denise Fleury, Brenda Caruso (John) and very special sister to Dan Ethier (Marilyn).  Loving and devoted Mimi to Nolan (Sian), Kaila (Nick), Mariah (Malcolm), James, Riley, Maddison, Bradley and Gregory.  Pre-deceased by her parents Lionel and Dorothy, and sister Bernie.  Sister to Raymond, Joanne, Stanley, Betty and Marilyn.  Sister-in-law to Lily, Edsel, Donald, Alfie, Germaine, Jerry, Lise, and pre-deceased by Dave. She was a special Auntie to many many nieces and nephews. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy!  Although she would never admit it, she enjoyed companionship of the family dog, Diesel.  Her favourite past times were camping, bowling, playing bingo, going to the casino and she never missed an opportunity to shop for a good bargain. We would like to thank nurses Laura and Lisa of Revera, PSWs Charissa and Catherine of WeCare, Gloria of CCAC and Dr. Jennifer Patterson, for their compassion and dedication. A very special thank you to the staff at ARCH for making Linda’s final days peaceful and comfortable.
