With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Grant at the age of 82,  at the F.J. Davey Home on Sunday, November 24, 2024.

Beloved husband of Gladys for 60 years.  Loving father of Natalie Paré (James), Glen (Amy), John (Marnie).  Proud grandpa of Maxwell, Brennan, Kaiden and Ethan Fisher.  Predeceased by his parents John and Beatrice Fisher.  Loving brother of Sandra Ferguson (late Norman), Terrie Bye (late Bob) and Ian Fisher (Kathy).  Son-in-law of the late Fred and late Lena Achtemichuk.  Brother-in-law of Ruth Madill and Ed Achtemichuk (Sheila).  Survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Grant had an exceptional work ethic.  He recently celebrated 60 years of service with International Union of Operating Engineers Local 793. His work over the years as a crane operator took him across Canada.  He loved fishing, hunting and curling.  He was the biggest fan of his grandsons, he attended all their hockey and football games. Grant was an Elks member for many years. Both Grant and Gladys enjoyed travelling together.  The European River Cruise and spending time travelling from Newfoundland to Alaska in their trailer, are just a few of the highlights of their adventures.

Family and Friends are invited to Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. East, 705-759-2522) for a Celebration of Life on Friday, November 29, 2024 from 6 pm to 9 pm.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations payable by cheque to the F.J.
