Passed away peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on Friday, January 3, 2025, at the age of 86.
Vanda is survived by her loving husband Mario Fea and children Carlo Fea (Dawn) and Liz Audette (Neil) and grandmother to Brianna McLarty.
Daughter to the late Maria and Marco Campaner. She is survived by many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and cousins in Canada and Italy.
Vanda and Mario immigrated to Canada over 50 years ago. They proudly owned Vanda’s Confectionary – which was right across from Holy Angels elementary school, and Lakeway/St. Mary’s College high school. Vanda loved to cook, do arts and crafts and loved to spend time with her family.
Thank you to our family friend and caregiver Brenda Tomljanovich who helped Vanda throughout this journey. We would also like to thank the doctors and staff at the Sault Area Hospital Emergency Department and 3B for their excellent care and compassion. Special mention to Dr. Docheva and the Algoma Geriatric team, including Seniors Mental Health and Lindsay Danz, for their role they played in moms care. Finally, the family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff at CBI, Bayshore, OHAH, and all the family and friends that showed their support.
