ETHIER, Jeannette (nee Massicotte)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jeannette Ethier at the Blind River District Health Centre on Friday, August 13, 2005 at the age of 87. Dear wife of the late Madelger Ethier. Dear mother of Rita Tardif (Andre) of Lake City, Florida, Moise Ethier (Jacqueline, the late Anna) of Chelmsford, Alexis Ethier (Marie) of Blind River, Julien Ethier (Judy) of Elliot Lake, Cecile Ethier (partner Ike) of Espanola, Etienne Ethier (Valerie) of Ottawa, Michel Ethier (Micheline) of Blind River, the late Alice Charron (Louis) and the late Leonel Ethier (late Sandra) both of Blind River. Survived by 39 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Jeannette is predeceased by 11 brothers and sisters. Jeanette's joy was to have family gatherings, especially on New Years and picnics on July 1st. She was a lady with compassion, never complaining though suffering from arthritis. She was involved in the Parish Ladies Auxiliary and the Senior Citizens Club. She was always ready to help out and could see the good in other people. She loved to make quilts. She leaves behind a great legacy: family traditions, values, honesty and love. Friends may call at the Menard Funeral Home, Blind River Monday fro 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service to be held Tuesday, August 16 from Paroisse Ste. Famille in Blind River with Sr. Bernadette Paquette officiating. Interment in Hillside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Blind River District Health Centre would be greatly appreciated. The family of Jeannette Ethier would like to thank Dr. Walde of Sault Area Hospitals and Dr. Shamas and staff of the Blind River District Health Centre for their compassion during Mom's illness.
