Peacefully at home on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at the age of 98.
Beloved wife of the late Dr. Richard Elgie. Dear mother of the late Richard (Rae) of London, Muriel Gibson (Ken) of Blind River and David (Maureen) of Sault Ste. Marie. Proud grandmother of Jamie Elgie (Bridgette), Jeannie Wolbaum (Jared), Jesse Gibson (Adelaide), Graham Gibson, Jeffrey Elgie (Megan), Scott Elgie (Shannon), 11 great grandchildren and two step great grandchildren. Sister of the late Beth Hodkinson (late Jack) of Burlington and late James Spring (late Jean) of Aurora. Frances will also be missed by her nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express gratitude to the tireless caregivers who supported mom through the past many years and allowed her to remain in her own home.
A private funeral service was held at Central United Church. Rev. Laurie Milito officiated. Followed by interment at Greenwood Cemetery.
