It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to an amazing mother, grandma, sister and aunt. Sandy passed away peacefully after a long courageous battle with Diabetes. Her battle finally ended on Saturday, April 11, 2020 just days before her 78th birthday at Cedarwood Lodge, listening to her classic oldies. Daughter of the late Viola and Harold Yade. Sadly missed and fondly remembered by her children David Eldner and Kathy Yukich (Jason). Most incredible Nana of Sarah (Will), Laura, Shayna and Evan. Sister of Bruce Yade (late Virginia), Caroline Anderson (late Mike), Debbie Kelly (Dan), Lorraine Yade, Joan Laurisen and the late Dennis Yade. Fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Thank you to Dr. Cheung and Dr. Shaffie and their caring nursing staff. They always looked forward to one of mom’s silly jokes. A very special thank you to Dr. McLean and the amazing, caring and compassionate nurses and PSW’s at Cedarwood Lodge. I’m sure mom’s humour, spunky personality and spitfire attitude will be missed. Due to the current circumstances there will be no service. A private ceremony will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions to the Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society would be appreciated.
